We regret that the Little Spitz sessions are longer being funded. As a result Little Spitz will cease to run from November 2009. The final session will be on wednesday 21st October. We hope to source alternative funding in the future and we will let you know if we are successful and if Little Spitz restarts. We hope that you will continue to visit the farm with your children and thank you for your continued support. Kind Regards, Alia Sulaiman
Throughout the warmer months (March to Nov),
Where? At the Farm
When? Every Wednesday, 10am-12pm.
The under 5's parents and toddler (under 5’s) group play area, provides children with an opportunity to experience play in a rich natural environment. This outdoor play area caters for young children’s needs, allowing them to make discoveries using their developing senses. This unique place provides children with many valuable learning opportunities, including contact with animals and plants, which is accessible to people locally and outside the local area.
Little Spitz Activities
Gardening - Plant vegetables & herbs from seed, watch them grow and then…eat them!
Storytelling - Act and dance your favourite animal story around the farm
Arts & Crafts - Stimulate the discovery of the natural environment through the senses of sight, taste, touch, smell and hearing and express the experience through creativity
Face Painting - BE the animal you love best!
Donkey Rides- With our stalwart donkey, Bayleaf (mood dependent!)
Cooking - Regular cooking workshops
But whilst it’s cold…. (approx Dec to March) our small furry or feathery friends will be out and about visiting some of our local under 5’s at their schools, nurseries or community centres instead. These sessions are totally FREE for all those children and families registered with Little Oaks Children’s Centre.
