Our volunteering programmes provide a range of challenging and enjoyable volunteer placements at Spitalfields City Farm. There are activities for corporate teams, and different levels of participation for a wide range of volunteers with diverse abilities and skills.
The core volunteering activities on the farm revolve around the seasons in the gardens, and the needs of the animals. Volunteers receive supervision and support from our dedicated project coordinators, and they participate in a varied and engaging programme of practical activities focusing on knowledge and methodology of Ethical Animal Care, and Horticultural practices to promote Healthy and Sustainable Living. All activities are informed by a commitment to community development. Naomi Glass talked to TrueTube about volunteering:
