Environmental Education Volunteer Experience at
Would you like to gain experience in assisting the delivery of environmental education workshops to young people of Primary and Secondary school age?
We run a variety of educational projects introducing groups of young people to various aspects of City Farm life e.g. animal care, animal welfare, horticulture, questioning where does our food come from?, environmental awareness, climate change, active citizenship, work experience, life and key skills.
All activities will assist in National Curriculum requirements and will enable the young people involved to gain new experiences, work in groups, be outdoors and gain confidence in learning.
Your knowledge, enthusiasm and energy will be invaluable in assisting with the delivery of our educational projects. Knowledge of environmental education is desirable but not a necessity and experience working with children and young people is an advantage. Volunteers must be willing to work outdoors in all types of weather.
See the video below to give you more of tangible sense of the kind of projects we do at the Farm.
