Nothing is Wasted if it is Shared
This month's blog is a beautiful piece on sharing our crops with wildlife and other animals, by resident blog writer Izzy, who also manages our shop and events. Click here to read it!
Articles in industry magazines - not one, but two!
This month we've had articles published about us in not one, but TWO well-known, iconic industry magazines - Gardeners' World, and Country Smallholder! This is something we're really proud of.
Here is our Instagram post about it - a good excuse to start following our account if you don't already. Share and post to your stories! Help us to be loud and proud about the fact that our hard work is being celebrated by industry magazines like these two.

We've recently been lucky enough to get some fantastic snaps from one of our Farmyard volunteers, Greg.
Can you name all eight of our goats from these photos?

Site Developments
We are currently working with contractors Gilbert Ash, who are installing more water points through the gardens to make it easier to water our crops. They are also installing a mains line to connect to the irrigation system - see next point!
We are also working with Waterscapes to install an irrigation system in the poly tunnels and the glass houses. This will massively improve on the way we use water at the farm as the beds will be slowly drip watered overnight.
Lastly, we are finalising some plans that have been in the works for several months now with the council, to improve our pathways and general accessibility around the farm; including the renovation of the fencing and paving on the farmyard. This work will hopefully be happening in the next couple of months.
Solar Panel Stats!
In the last two weeks of July (as they were installed mid-month), we generated 838kwh of electricity and exported 191kwh back to the grid. And so far, since installation, we have reduced our CO2 by 1.57 tonnes!
Some Wonderful Harvests...
We have been enjoying some beautiful harvests this last month, in large part thanks to the work our gardens volunteers do.

That's it for this edition! Thank you for reading.
The Farm is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10.00am to 4.30pm.
We look forward to welcoming you soon.
