Congratulations Lutfun!

Recently, gardening groups, individuals and organisations were recognised for their dedication to making Tower Hamlets a greener borough at the Tower Hamlets in Bloom Awards 2022. The ceremony took place at the Art Pavilion, Mile End Park. 

The Farm's very own Lutfun Hussain collected a lifetime achievement award. The award was recognition of more than two decades of work at Spitalfields City Farm to promote ethnic diversity, cultural exchange, inclusion, organic horticulture, and healthy living in our community.

Lutfun set up the Coriander Club at the Farm in 2000, which supports people, predominantly women from the local Bangladeshi community. To garden and grow your own vegetables is an important part of Bengali culture and the Farm provides a space to cultivate traditional produce as a community.
